Sleeper to Gdansk

The sleeper to Gdansk (and beyond) arrived on time.  I’d paid for a proper bed, rather than just a couchette. This was a bargain £30 (without interrail; I’ve saved those days for more expensive countries)

I didn’t meet any other emfcamp attendees on this one. One guy was heading to Gdanya, north of Gdansk, the other guy went straight to bed.

Unlike the couchette class sleeper I’d got to Krakow, they delivered a (packet) croissant and (instant) coffee for breakfast, in addition to the extra dry wafer biscuit (a bigger, chocolate flavour equivalent of a pink wafer), I’d got previously.

We arrived a few minutes late, while it was still dark, but with plenty of time for me to catch my connection to Elblag.

It’s a misty dawn as we head through a flat landscape that reminds me of Norfolk

The last photo shows the Tczew bridge. It looked like the adjacent bridge was only half built. Turns out it’s being renovated
