The quarry is next to the Krakus Mound, which is supposed to be the resting place of Krakow’s founder, King Krakus
It was a lovely clear day, and there were good views from the top
It was a short walk down into the quarry. There were several groups of climbers, sport, difficult, rock looked quite chalky
The grave stones from the film were on the path.
The remains of the quarrying equipment were still there
It was quite an eerie place. There were a few other people wandering around too, but they were probably outnumbered by climbers.
Then I headed back to town for some lunch, ready for this afternoon’s plans
I had Pho, which was nice, but quite spicy. I popped into a convenience store after for some kefir to calm the spice down. The assistant wanted to check I knew it wasn’t milk 😂. It’s the same make I buy back home, but was a bit cheaper.
