After popping back to the hostel for a shower, I decided to check out the Science and Technology museum. This wasn’t huge, and was OK, but not great.
They’d got a special exhibition on the history of the kitchen, which was an additional cost. I didn’t realise at the time that almost all the signage for it was only in Polish. Google translate did a reasonable job, but it did make it harder work.
The main exhibition tried to be everything for everyone I think; it started with a history of mechanical aids (Archimedes spiral, pulleys, etc), before moving onto an interactive piece about SI units (with a detour to some old trams), then it was onto a more general history of science and technology from a Polish perspective. This was much more interesting, but the whole thing didn’t really feel like it hung together very coherently.
After the museum I had a quick wander around a local church; it was very striking from the outside
