Hannover

An afternoon in Hannover, en route to Hamburg. The Sprengel Museum of Modern art was OK; lots of works by Picasso. A lot of the collection is Sprengel’s private collection. It did start to feel a bit samey after a while, but was a nice enough few hours. After that it was the Altes Rathaus, which has an (appraently unique) curved lift up the dome:The final thing was to follow ther “red thread”, which is a self guided tour round the centre. This went to some interesting places, but was quite hard to follow at times where it hadn’t been replaced after roadworks etc.
