Swimming (day 3)

Headed north today. The weather was better than yesterday afternoon, but it’s still rather windy, which meant some fairly lively boat journeys, with quite a lot of getting splashed.

In the morning we swam ~1.5km on the SW side of Privc, and had lunch in the bay.

The swim was noticeably colder than yesterday, but still just about OK.

The village was very pleasant, and where the inventor of the parachute apparently came from (I thought it was DaVinci, but anyway). There was a museum about this, but we gave it a miss, and went for a wander to the other side of the island. There was a 1930 gun-emplacement on top of the hill, which was interesting to explore.

After lunch we headed to the SW side of Zlarin, and swam 2km along the coast. This was much nicer than the morning’s swim. The waves were smaller, and the sea felt warmer. Then back to the hotel.
