I’d planned on doing the Parkrun in Paderborn<\/a>, but wasn’t sure if I’d be up in time after yesterday’s travel issues.\u00a0 I awoke in plenty of time, and got the bus out to Padersee (which is a small lake on the river Pader (which is the shortest river in Germany apparently<\/a>))<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a quite a small Parkrun; <100 participants.\u00a0 I got chatting to a group of travelling actors from the UK, who were going to be touring round schools in Germany doing plays in English.\u00a0 The organisers of it are originally from the UK.\u00a0 I hadn’t realised, but there (used to be?) a large British army based near Paderborn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The run itself was very pleasant; 2.5 times round the lake, so nice and flat.\u00a0 The weather was cool and dry.\u00a0 I was a couple of seconds quicker than in Krakow last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seemed to be an exceptionally friendly parkrun.\u00a0 I stayed for breakfast at the cafe in the park after, as did a lot of the other runners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
