Atlas Obscura<\/a> has a quarry in the south of the town listed…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quarry is next to the Krakus Mound, which is supposed to be the resting place of Krakow’s founder<\/a>, King Krakus<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a lovely clear day, and there were good views from the top<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a short walk down into the quarry. There were several groups of climbers, sport, difficult, rock looked quite chalky<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grave stones from the film were on the path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remains of the quarrying equipment were still there<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was quite an eerie place. There were a few other people wandering around too, but they were probably outnumbered by climbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I headed back to town for some lunch, ready for this afternoon’s plans<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had Pho, which was nice, but quite spicy. I popped into a  convenience store after for some kefir to calm the spice down. The assistant wanted to check I knew it wasn’t milk \ud83d\ude02. It’s the same make I buy back home, but was a bit cheaper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
