I’m sure the first couple of parts of this post will be of *zero* interest to almost all my friends \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

A very pleasant trip down from Hamburg on the train. Had a nice (albeit rather slowly served) meal in the dining car:<\/p>\n

The 6.5 hours flew by, with some lovely views at points;<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The next day I went to Prague Public Transport museum in the morning. This is mainly trams, with a few buses and trolley buses thrown in. There was a short booklet with (abbreviated) English captions for some of the exhibits, but otherwise everything was in Czech. It’s not a huge place (maybe 15-20 vehicles on show), but was a nice enough way to spend a couple of hours.<\/p>\n

This one was from when Prague was occupied in WW II. Interesting how the destination in German and Czech is in different fonts<\/p>\n

After all that excitement I had a bit of a lazy afternoon, wandering round the parks. I headed up the funicular to the viewpoint, and read for a while. I’d been to Prague before, so had done most of the main sites that time.<\/p>\n

Then back to the crowds…<\/p>\n

After some dinner I decided to take in a concert before I got my sleeper to Poprad. The setting was lovely, but the promised 4 seasons turned out to be somewhat abbreviated, and performed by a quartet. <\/p>\n

Then it was time for the train to Slovakia, where I arrived a few hours ago (presumably having passed frictionless border at some point in the night)<\/p>\n
